Editorial standards
What you can rely on in every article.
Business and money are subjects where trust matters. That is why we are open about how we work, where our information comes from and where the limits of a magazine article lie.
Independence
The editors alone decide what they write about and how. No company, provider or advertiser can buy, change or pre-approve an editorial article.
Separating editorial content and advertising
Advertising is always labelled “Advertisement”. Paid company presentations, case studies and expert profiles carry the label “Partner content” and name the client. Paid publications are not entitled to a positive editorial assessment, and they do not influence what the editors write elsewhere.
Sources and checks
We rely on primary sources: authorities, central banks, statistical offices, legal texts, development banks, chambers of commerce and original documents. Every article names its sources at the end, together with its publication date and the date it was last checked. When rules, deadlines or figures change, we revise the article and note it.
Figures and worked examples
Worked examples are explicitly examples. They use round numbers and state their assumptions, so that you can apply them to your own situation. Our tools disclose how they calculate.
Investment topics
maidav provides information about asset classes, markets and how they work. We publish no recommendations to buy or sell individual financial instruments, no price targets and no forecasts. Specific investment recommendations are subject to their own legal obligations, which a note such as “not investment advice” does not replace on its own; that is why we refrain from them entirely. We present opportunities and risks together. For decisions about your assets, your taxes or your company, please consult a qualified adviser.
Conflicts of interest
If an author has a personal or business interest in a topic covered, this is stated with the article. Articles by the editors are written without any commission from third parties.
Use of AI
We use AI tools for research, drafts, translations and images. Only what the editors have checked and take responsibility for is published. Images created with AI are labelled “AI generated”.
Mistakes and corrections
